Effective November 1, 2008, the Virginia Retirement System assumed administration of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s long-term care program from the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM). Aetna Life Insurance Company continues as the carrier for this voluntary program, which is available to eligible employees, vested deferred members, retirees and eligible family members. No action is required on the part of employees already enrolled in the voluntary long-term program. Employees who are not enrolled and are interested in the program may contact Aetna toll free at 1-877-894-2470 or visit the Aetna Web site at www.aetna.com/group/commonwealthva for additional information or to request an enrollment kit.
